St. Paul's Academy in Bellingham, WA

Bellingham's Pre-K to 12 College Preparatory Academy

Welcome to St. Paul’s Academy, where students are empowered to explore and expand their intellect and strengthen their spirit; where families are supported in providing a strong foundation for lives of meaningful service, connection, and accomplishment.  Our work together is rooted in our core commitments:

I will engage, I will reflect, I will care, I will create.

Our vision, to provide a premier college preparatory education, attracts families of diverse backgrounds from the greater Bellingham community as well as Whatcom and Skagit Counties. We are united by our commitment to children and young people, and the desire to deliver an excellent educational experience. We intentionally engage the heads, hearts and hands of the young scholars entrusted to our care.

Small class size and a challenging yet nurturing environment characterize the St. Paul’s experience. Respectful, trusting relationships enhance learning as teachers provide meaningful and significant attention to each student.

The pre-K through grade 12 curriculum provides an instructional progression designed to optimize each student’s talents. We emphasize core academic skills and content. Integrated technology facilitates teaching and learning. We offer the unique opportunity for students in Lower and Upper Schools to study a second language. We currently offer Spanish.

Our college preparatory program is well-rounded, offering opportunities for student participation in the arts, physical education and athletics, as well as other activities. Lower and Upper School students attend age-appropriate chapel services. As an independent, ecumenical school with a strong Christian history and tradition, we welcome families of all backgrounds and beliefs. Community service and service-learning extend learning beyond the classroom, as do travel-study opportunities. We take advantage of incredible outdoor opportunities here in the Great Northwest. We also introduce students to other countries and cultures through international travel that complements and expands our academic program. We are committed to preparing our graduates to understand, compete and succeed in a global economic environment.

We invite you to visit and experience St. Paul’s and Little Epistles in person.  Find out why we have become a popular choice for families with high aspirations for what their children learn and for the people they will become.
