Little Epistles' is the preschool section of St. Paul's Academy. It offers varying schedules for toddlers through Pre-K, and is located at the South Campus, a dedicated space at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The philosophy of our preschool is that children learn through active participation, exploration, and self-discovery. They are naturally curious, excited, and amazed about their world. We stimulate that curiosity through songs, dance, play, and work. Since all children are unique, a good program for young children must be responsive to individual differences. The environment we provide enables the children to learn basic life skills, including but not limited to: sharing, playing fair, "using your words," and being safe.
We provide experiences that enable them to grow and develop through the use of their five senses. We are here to facilitate and guide their learning. We respect each child's rights, so that by example, he or she learns self-respect and respect for others. In the Little Epistles' Preschool, if a circumstance calls for gentle discipline, it is not about punishment, but about developing independence, self-control, and problem-solving skills. We want each child to feel he or she belongs, and is special in his or her unique way.
