St. Paul's Academy, located in Bellingham, Washington, is a closely knit fast-growing independent coeducational day school. We began as a Preschool in 1971. In the mid 1990s, we grew into an elementary, and later into a middle and high school. We are the only independent PreK-12 school in Bellingham. St. Paul's Academy serves approximately 350 students of all backgrounds and beliefs.

Admissions Process Overview

St. Paul's Academy aims to admit those applicants who are most able and eager to learn in this unique community of excellence. We accept and review a variety of application materials with the goal of assessing the multiple talents and interests in young people.

No single factor, such as grades or standardized test scores, is determinative. This Academy values diversity. As our mission states, we serve academically capable and willing students. We welcome the application of all learners - regardless of background or beliefs. 

As you search for the right fit for your student, the following steps will guide you through the admissions process:  

Upper School & Lower School

  1. Schedule an Appointment for an Interview and Tour
  2. Submit your Application (K-12 only)
  3. Schedule the Admissions Exam
  4. Submit Transcripts and Teacher Recommendations, as applicable
  5. Student comes in for a "Special Visit Day" or Kindergarten "Play Date"
  6. After review by the Admissions Committee, you will receive a decision letter by mail 

Little Epistles Preschool

  1. Schedule a Tour
  2. Select a Class Schedule by Age
  3. Submit your Application
