St. Paul's Academy, located in Bellingham, Washington, is a closely knit fast-growing independent coeducational day school. We began as a Preschool in 1973. In the mid 1990s, we grew into an elementary, and later into a middle and high school. We are the only independent PreK-12 school in Bellingham. St. Paul's Academy serves 350 students of all backgrounds and beliefs.

Admissions Process Overview

St. Paul's Academy aims to admit those applicants who are most able and eager to learn in this unique community of excellence. We accept and review a variety of application materials with the goal of assessing a variety of talents and interests in young people.

No single factor, such as grades or standardized test scores, is determinative. This Academy values diversity and welcomes the application of all students - regardless of background or beliefs.

As you search for the right fit for your student, the following steps will guide you through the admissions process:  

  1. Schedule an Appointment for an Interview and Tour
  2. Submit Your Application
  3. Schedule the Admissions Exam
  4. Submit Transcripts and Teacher Recommendations, as applicable
  5. After review by the Admisssions Committee, you will recieve a decision letter by mail.  

Applications are received and reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year.  We encourage you to invest in your child's future with an indepedent education at St. Paul's Academy.
