What is the season length?

Middle School- Approximately 8 weeks
High School- Approximately 12 weeks

How many days a week are practices held?

Tennis - 2 days per week, Tuesday and Thursday
All other sports - 5 days per week, Monday through Friday.

Where are practices held?

Cross Country - Trails and parks near St. Paul’s, with at least one practice at an off-campus running trail
Tennis - Cornwall Park
Basketball - St. Paul’s Upper School and St. Paul's Activity Center
Volleyball - St. Paul’s Upper School
Track & Field - St. Paul’s, with at least one practice at an off-campus track facility

What schools does St. Paul’s compete with?

Tennis: Assumption and Bellingham Christian
All other sports: Assumption, Blaine, Ferndale, Lynden, Lynden Christian, Meridian, Mt. Baker, Nooksack Valley and Vista.

How many practices does the student-athlete need to be eligible?

10 practices. When the student-athlete completes 10 practices, they are eligible for competition the rest of the season (if behavioral and academic requirements are met).

What is the cost to participate in sports?

The athletic fee is $45 per sport.

Can middle school athletes participate in other sports/activities outside of the school while competing on a St. Paul’s team?

Yes. It is understood that students have many after-school obligations. However, all student athletes are held to the same eligibility standards. Athletes competing in team sports may have playing time reduced as a result of missed practices.

Are middle school athletes required to have physical exams?

Yes. Students must have physical exams done before they can participate in practices or games. Physical exams expire 13 months from the date they are given.
