PALS is the parent support group for St. Paul's Academy and Little Epistles' Preschool. PALS operates under the auspices of the Board of Trustees of St. Paul's Academy. Why play chess? Chess is fun! Chess introduces you to people from a variety of cultures. Chess is popular the world over, especially in Russia, Eastern Europe, and Asia. Check out the website below for evidence of this:
There are three chess classes taught at St. Paul’s Academy: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. These classes are taught by Ethan Neff. St. Paul’s students participate in several tournaments a year. These include five or six local tournaments as well as a state tournament that meets in various parts of Washington State (Spokane in 2009). Our students have performed exceptionally well in these tournaments.
