Why Give?

Building an outstanding local academy is possible only with the generous support of community members like you. Tuition income at this and other fine schools does not fully cover operational costs, so we thank those who give.

St. Paul's Academy aims to diversify and elevate the educational ecosystem in Northwest Washington, at a time when public schools across the country are cash-constrained and when the performance of U.S. students continues to fall behind other leading nations. Our local community — not just families of students — needs to respond.

St. Paul's Academy provides promising young people with exceptional opportunities to learn, to grow, and to lead. Here they find challenges to engage their talents, and teachers who have time to inspire and guide them. They mature as individuals and as members of a close community. They are urged to pursue lives of significance.

A tradition of support from alumni, parents, and friends helps ensure that students continue their growth into positions of community leadership. If you ask, "Why should I give?", the reasons are many:

  1. 1. Attract Top Educators

A great school is built one superb teacher at a time. Gifts to the school enable us to continue improving our compensation program, and attract and retain proven, outstanding educators.

  2. 2. Attract Eager Students from Diverse Backgrounds

We aim to pair excellent teachers with bright students in the community. To succeed fully, we must – in time – offer financial aid to those whose families who cannot pay the full cost of admission. Need-blind admission is a critical goal for us, and we need your support to achieve it.

  3. 3. Enduring Legacy of Local Excellence

Your gift ensures that we can continue developing a high quality independent school that will serve current and future generations in Northwest Washington.
